Crimson of Ruins (DEMO)

Story

For many ages, the Kingdom of Saarth had lived in peace and prosperity. But when the young King died without leaving an heir, the war broke out. 
And the brother went against the brother. And the father went against the son. The bloodshed was so severe, that even gods eventually abandoned these lands.
After a decade of battles, the Kingdom and its throne are now laying in ruins.
To save the people of Saarth, the occult order of the Crimson Goddess is sending their knights far north. To the frontier, where rumors say, an ancient and powerful relic is hidden.
But so far, none has returned, and now it's your turn to go...

Description

"Crimson of Ruins" is a simple first-person adventure game inspired by such classic games as "King's Field", "Killing Time" and "Powerslave". 

You have to travel around the various locations, search for different items and weapons, find new shortcuts, fight many foes, and eventually - find the mysterious relic, which can save your homeland from certain doom. Your health - or rather your blood is the one and only resource which have any real value in the cold northern frontiers of Saarth.

Development State

Right now the game is available as a Demo. It has some bugs. Or a lot of bugs actually, but since I didn't have any time to properly playtest it - you are welcome to try it out. At least you can leave the starting hub location and visit up to four other places. Since the game is kind of open in its design, there are no bright red STOP signs around the place to tell you that the game is not finished yet. But at this point of development, you can't go past the Great Graveyard location or properly interact with the only NPCs there.

When new updates arrive, it must be possible to transfer saved files from the Demo version to the newer one, so don't delete them if you would like to see the end of this project one day without restarting it from the beginning.
